Terms and Conditions for Using the Image Receipt Website and its Companion Websites

Definitions

"This Website" means Image Receipt, a website that reads, rectifies and crops uploaded receipt images. Our Companion Websites" refers to the set of websites Image Receipt (www.imagereceipt.net along with country-specific addresses, such as www.imagereceipt.dk) and Image Rectifier (www.imagerectifier.net). "The Website" refers to both this Website and to our Companion Websites in general. Licensees may be individuals or organizations. Each licensee is referred to as "you". The company Hardcore Processing is referred to as "we" and "us".

Cookies Policy

A cookie is a small piece of text that is part of some of the webpages that you see on the Website. What makes a cookie special is that your webbrowser is supposed to send back the cookie to our server, according to standard Internet protocols. This is so that the server can check that you were actually on a specific page on the Website, such as the sign in page. The Website Image Receipt and our Companion Websites use cookies where necessary. Currently, all cookies that we use have the specific name "imrct_session".

It is a technical necessity to use cookies to log you into the Website and keep you logged in safely and we use them for that purpose. You will have to accept that, if you want to sign in. If you check "Remember me" when signing in, the cookie to keep you signed in will be made persistent for 30 days.

We also use cookies to protect requests made to the Website against cross-site request forgeries (CSRF). This is usually when you perform operations that somehow enter or modify data on our Website, such as entering your email address when signing up, when activating your user account, when changing your password and when sending messages to us on our contact form. We strive to make sure that pages using cookies without requiring prior sign-in will explicitly state that they use cookies.

It is also possible to use cookies for tracking your website browsing behaviour, but we currently do not do that. If that changes, these terms will be updated and it will be announced on our Website.

Other websites, such as PayPal, most likely also use cookies. We have no control over that, even though the Website interfaces with such websites.

In addition to cookies, your browser usually sends standard browser headers and user agent information to our server as part of standard Internet protocols. Your browser has privacy settings that lets you control, to some degree, which information is sent to websites that you visit. Naturally, we only get the data that is sent to our Website. We use such data to make statistics on your browsing behaviour and to improve our Website and products, as also described in our privacy policy.

Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us. So is our continued effort to improve our products, make new products and tailor our products to your needs. Therefore, we have the following privacy policy.

When you upload images or any other data to the Website, we do our best to keep those data safe and inaccessible to others. However, we also need our Website to work and for that purpose, it may be necessary for third party collaborators, such as our website hosting providers, to get access to the data. We try to keep third party access to the minimum required. We will not share your data with anyone else than what is described here to be necessary. This server is currently hosted by the company cloud.dk in Denmark, who store their servers and data in Danish data centres. Thus, cloud.dk acts as a data processor for us and we are the data controller.

The data controller is:

Hardcore Processing, VAT reg.: DK21106291

Our Data Protection Officer (DPO) is Johnny Bock Andersen, who can be reached by the above contact information.

We will use your data to make computations on them, particularly your uploaded images. Rectifying an image requires lots of computation done on the image and we have to do that, in order to give you the rectified image. We will also perform other computations on your images, such as statistical computations, machine learning computations, error testing, quality assurance and similar. We do this to keep our products as good and error free as possible and to derive data that may be used for improving our products and for creating new products.

Whenever you perform a payment, such as for refilling your account with credits, we keep the transaction data of the payment, as well as the data for generating your invoice for 6 years. We do not store any credit card information. The Website currently uses PayPal for payments and we store the data that they send to us; they do not send us any credit card information. Storing this data helps us track and correct problems related to payments, as well as to send your invoices again.

We make statistics about our Website visitors by using the standard browser headers and user agent information that is sent to our Website as part of the standard Internet protocols. Your browser has privacy settings that lets you control, to some degree, which information is sent to websites that you visit. Naturally, we only get the data sent to our Website. We use such data to make statistics on your browsing behaviour and to improve our Website and products.

A detailed summary of our data retention policy is the following:

Limitation of Liability

The provisions of this paragraph are in effect to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. We are in no event liable to you for damages, including any general, special, incidental or consequential damages arising out of the use or inability to use the Website or the provision of or failure to provide proper support, (including but not limited to interruption of business, lost profit or interest, personal injury, loss of data or data being rendered inaccurate or losses sustained by you or third parties for a failure of the Website to operate with any other programs), even if we or any other party have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Similarly, we accept product liability only to the extent that it cannot be contractually waived. Absent any wilful misconduct or gross negligence, our entire liability, without exception, is limited to reimbursement of the fees actually paid by you for using the Website.

Disclaimer

We reserve the right to remove your information in case of misuse or unauthorised and/or criminal use.
